Reception to note opening of "History Quilting," temporary exhibit. Artifacts, storyboards, photos, touchscreen quiz, free take-home workbook on subject. Corresponding kids' table with crafts, books to read, coloring sheets and fabric to make quilt squares. Reception includes specially made cupcakes and beverages. FREE. Annual fundraiser for museum addition. Hostesses decorate tables for six guests each, according to the year's theme. Tea, savory sandwiches, desserts and sweets of all kinds. Arrive at 12:30 to examine tables and vote for "People's Choice." Winner receives a gift basket. Tickets are $20 and reservations are required; call 605-723-1200.
